Approval Exposure is a read-only tool. It does not have an account system, and there is nothing to sign up for. This policy explains the only data that moves anywhere.

What the extension does not have access to

The extension declares no permissions in its manifest. Chrome enforces this, which means it is structurally unable to read the pages you visit, see your browsing history, access your other extensions, run in the background, or interact with any wallet. It never asks for and never receives a private key, a seed phrase, or a wallet signature.

Wallet addresses you enter

When you enter a public wallet address and press Check, that address is sent to our server so we can look up its on-chain approval history. This is necessary for the extension to work: approval data lives on public blockchains and has to be queried.

• Addresses are used only to perform that lookup and return the result to you.
• We do not store a persistent record linking an address to you.
• We do not sell, rent, or share addresses with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for marketing.
• Public blockchain data is already public. We do not add any information to it.

The addresses you save are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. They are not uploaded to us, not synced across your devices, and not readable by any website. Removing the extension deletes them.

Technical logs

Our server keeps short-lived operational logs, which may include the requested address, a timestamp, and an IP address, for the purpose of preventing abuse and keeping the service running. These logs are deleted on a rolling basis and are not used to build profiles or to track individuals.

Analytics and tracking

The extension contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising code, and no third-party trackers. It loads no external fonts or scripts, so opening it does not notify anyone that you did.

Third parties

To read on-chain data our server queries blockchain data providers. Those queries contain the wallet address being looked up. They do not contain anything identifying you, because we do not hold anything identifying you.

Children

This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how data is handled, the updated date above will change and the revision will be published here before the corresponding extension update ships.
